  1. Alexander Shorokhoff Crossing Jumping Hour

    Alexander Shorokhoff Crossing Jumping Hour

    S$6,346.00

The Crossing model is a new addition to the Avant Garde line in 2017 to mark the 25th anniversary of Alexander Shorokhoff. The Crossing reflects the brand’s philosophy, 'Art on the Wrist' with the use of exceptional shapes and colours united with functionality and elegance. Named after the intersecting lines on the watch dial, the watch dial is divided in two functional sectors – the minute hand sits in the upper register while the second hand sits in the lower register. The Crossing sports oversized '20' and '40' indices as well as the signature shape of the hour and minute hands - both trademarks associated with the brand. Apart from a new design, the watch houses a new movement by Dubois Depraz in a regulator layout. The jumping hour complication is made possible with a series of complex filigree elements in the movement as well as Dubois Depraz’s expertise in movement manufacturing. The movement is topped off with a hand-engraved, gold-plated rotor visible through the sapphire case back. A limited edition of only 25 pieces available worldwide.

The OD-1 (One) collection draws inspiration from Stanley Kubrick’s Space Odyssey and related science fiction objects. The perlage detail brings you to another dimension as you gaze at the dial. The outstanding design feature of OD-1 is without a doubt the matte black cross bar on its dial. This cross bar intertwines with the open space of a metal plate that it sits on and the rotating discs for time reading. For those in the know, parallels can be drawn between this aspect of OD-1’s design and Kubrick’s Space Station V. Turn the watch around and you will find your eyes drawn to two things: the specially designed custom gold-plated rotor, visible through the exhibition caseback; and an engraved quote from the father of science fiction.
