The fascination of the zodiac observed and interpreted by the ancient Egyptians are captured on a watch dial. A whole cosmos with celestial bodies and signs of the zodiac is shining under the gently vaulted sapphire glass of the solid stainless steel case. The central element of this timekeeper is a hand engraved movement featuring a special polishing of sun beams at the front side. A grooved ornamental part at the horizontal axis in waves’ shape represents the water of the rivers Euphrates and Tigris. A little sun and moon are standing out against the movement which is encircled by a glimmering purple-blue MOP ring. Limited to 500 pieces.

  3. Alexander Shorokhoff Babylonian II

    Alexander Shorokhoff Babylonian II

    S$3,998.00

    Out of stock

The main plate and the outer dial’s ring are fashioned and ornamentally shaped in an operose procedure, undertaken by hand. Unlike the first model with gold plated parts, the components of Babylonian II are now rhodium-plated. The dark blue mother of pearl hour ring, the blue hands and the appliques together produce a fascinating overall picture of richness and beauty – just like the Babylon of yore. Turn the watch around and you will get to enjoy the masterly engravings that are painstakingly done by hand. The bridges visible through the exhibition caseback are rhodium plated too, and the screws are of blued steel. The gorgeously detailed movement is framed by a blue ring showing the signs of the zodiac. All details as well as the colours of dial and movement have been thoroughly matched so as to harmonize perfectly with the cool steel of the casing. Thus, a new creation of “Art on the Wrist” is born. Learn More
