RAW Brand Spotlight: Reservoir Watch

, by RAW Singapore, 2 min reading time

In this RAW Brand Spotlight, we take a closer look at Reservoir Watch and highlight the models that are some of our favourites.

Reservoir Watch was added to Red Army Watches’ stable of brands in 2020. The watchmaking house is based in France and has seen its watches nominated in various GPHG categories. Here are three things to know about Reservoir Watch.

1. Swiss Made

Qualified watchmakers design, assemble and check the meticulously calibrated settings of Reservoir watches in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.

2. It’s Complicated

Every Reservoir watch is powered by a 124-piece patented proprietary module on the reliable ETA2824-2 calibre. Each watch comes with the following complications: retrograde minutes, jumping hour and power reserve.

3. Vintage Measuring Instruments-Inspired

Reservoir Watch takes its inspiration from the functionalities and the aesthetic appeal of measurement instruments of days gone by.

There are three ranges of Reservoir Watch.

Aeronautics

Military aviation and its icons – including both the planes that achieved such cult status and the design of the aviation instruments – provide an inexhaustible source of inspiration for this range.

Our pick: Reservoir Airfight Titane

Why: We love the Airfight Titane for its titanium case with satin and polished finish. Coupled with the classic black dial with SuperLuminova indices, the Airfight Titane is a piece that can accompany us easily from work to a night out and even casual weekends.

Cars

The Cars range features automobile-inspired designs based on different eras.

Supercharged: 1930 – 1960 The Supercharged invites you to get behind the steering wheel of magnificent legendary cars and rediscover the joy of driving as it used to be.

Battlefield: 1941 – 1945 The Battlefield commemorates the major battlefields of World War II.

Longbridge: 1960 – 1980 At the beginning of the 20th century, famous car manufacturers settled in Longbridge in England. Some of them had the genius to design cars capable of crossing time and eras. The Longbridge is dedicated to these cars.

GT Tour: 1960 – 1990 Legendary car races are the essence of GT Tour timepieces. The GT Tour is a watch that embodies high performance and determination.

Our pick: Longbridge British Racing

Why: Who can resist that gorgeous hue of British racing green? The Longbridge British Racing was also a GPHG2018 nominee under the Challenge Category.

Marine

Go explore the fathoms below with Reservoir watches in the Marine series.

Tiefenmesser: 1910 – 1945 This collection features design cues from the periscopes of submarines.

Hydrosphere: 1950 – 1960 The Hydrosphere collection pays tribute to the original diving watches with an interesting take: a single needle on its dial for innovative diving instruments.

Our pick: Hydrosphere Air Gauge

Why: Our hearts were stolen once we laid eyes on the full lume dial of the Hydrosphere Air Gauge. The cherry on top? This model was a nominee in GPHG2019 Diver Category.
