Celebrating tradition in colour and light — the MIDO Commander Gradient Catrines Special Edition pays tribute to Mexico’s Día de Muertos with artistry and Swiss precision.
Inspiration and Design
The Commander Gradient Catrines continues MIDO’s homage to Mexican cultural identity, dedicated to the Day of the Dead. The dial features the iconic skull of El Catrín, surrounded by flowers and hand-applied in vivid lacquers. By day, the watch radiates with joyful colour; by night, its Super-LumiNova® transforms the skull and floral motifs into a glowing spectacle of blue and green light.
Dial and Case Details
The distinctive acrylic dial reveals a gradient effect — transparent at the centre and deepening to black at the edges — offering a glimpse of the mechanical heart within. Diamond-cut hands, faceted indexes with coloured grooves, and a date window at 3 o’clock complete the composition under a domed, faceted sapphire crystal.
Its satin-finished stainless steel case (40 mm) is topped with a polished bezel and complemented by three easily interchangeable straps:
Stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp
Black leather strap with blue stitching
Orange textured rubber strap, honouring the cempasúchil flower of Día de Muertos
Water resistance is rated at 5ATM (50 m).
Movement and Mechanics
At the heart of the Catrines beats the MIDO Caliber 80 automatic movement, offering an impressive 80-hour power reserve. Equipped with a Nivachron™ balance spring, it ensures high resistance to magnetic fields and shocks. The oscillating weight, decorated with Côtes de Genève and engraved with the MIDO logo, can be admired through the transparent caseback.
A Collector’s Tribute
Limited in availability beyond Mexico, the Commander Gradient Catrines Special Edition is more than a watch — it’s a living canvas, celebrating life, heritage, and the art of Swiss watchmaking. Delivered in a special presentation box, it’s a rare opportunity for collectors worldwide.

Dark, minimal, and immersive - the SEVENFRIDAY T3/03 refines the T-Series design language through an all-black execution, focusing on depth, transparency, and movement.
Inspiration & Design
The T3/03 explores SEVENFRIDAY’s signature interplay of transparency and layering in a more restrained, monochromatic form.
Its design centres on the idea of “diving into the interface,” where gradients, shadows, and mechanical elements work together to create a sense of depth and immersion. The result is a watch that feels focused, modern, and quietly expressive.
Dial & Case Details
The T3/03 features a semi-transparent dial constructed using sun lens material, creating subtle gradients that shift with light and viewing angle.
Its all-black case enhances this effect, allowing the layered dial and skeleton elements to take centre stage. The use of tonal contrast rather than colour gives the watch a more controlled and cohesive aesthetic.
The same sun lens material is also used in SEVENFRIDAY’s Icon Tiny sunglasses, reinforcing the brand’s cross-disciplinary design approach.
Movement & Features
The T3/03 is powered by an automatic mechanical movement, delivering reliable performance for everyday wear.
An NFC chip embedded in the caseback enables secure authentication and registration via the SEVENFRIDAY App.
Bracelet / Strap & Wearability
As part of the T-Series, the T3/03 features a smaller, thinner, and lighter case profile compared to other SEVENFRIDAY collections.
This makes it particularly suitable for those who prefer a more compact and wearable watch, while still retaining the brand’s layered and mechanical design identity.
Collector Positioning
The T3/03 is suited for collectors who appreciate a more minimal and monochromatic interpretation of SEVENFRIDAY’s design - a piece that focuses on depth, tone, and subtle detail.

The Seiko Presage combines a Japanese aesthetic sense with traditional craftsmanship and Seiko’s watchmaking skills in an original collection that offers Japanese beauty, quality and long-lasting performance.
The Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Series is a design series that revealed a fresh and powerful expression of Japanese artistry. This series captures the simplicity and refinement of traditional Japanese aesthetics in its delicately textured dial and gives it a modern edge with its sharp and angular case construction.
The Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Series case and bracelet incorporate many flat surfaces that have a modern sharpness that allows the watch to shine and sparkle from every angle. The precisely engineered and polished surfaces and the crisp edges of its silhouette contrast with the subtle hairline finish to create a pleasingly multi-dimensional effect.
The dial incorporates a Japanese Asanoha or hemp leaf pattern, familiar in Japanese culture for its use in design since the Heian period over a thousand years ago. The fibres that make up the plant's stem were traditionally used to make fabrics and the leaf pattern holds a special importance in Japanese culture as it symbolises rapid, strong growth and was thought to bring good health, especially to the young. The rich texture and intricacy of the dial's sharply edged geometric pattern create a subtle colour gradation as they play with the light at different angles.
The Seiko Presage SPB227J1 features a ruby red dial - the colour of crimson glory vines known as Ebi-iro.

The Zelos Eagle 2 Titanium Carbon builds on the brand’s original pilot watch concept with a more refined case design and upgraded materials.
Its lightweight titanium construction is paired with a carbon composite dial, creating a watch that feels technical without being overdesigned. With a Type B pilot’s layout, strong lume, and a Swiss automatic movement, it balances legibility, durability, and everyday usability.
Inspiration & Design
The Eagle takes cues from aviation, both in function and construction.
The multi-part case features a honeycomb-engraved midcase enclosed within a skeletonised lug structure, referencing the structural design of modern aircraft. The surfaces alternate between sandblasted and polished finishes, giving the case more definition without excess detailing.
The use of a Type B dial layout improves readability, with clear separation between minute and hour scales - an approach rooted in traditional pilot watches.
Dial & Case Details
This Carbon variant features a forged carbon composite dial produced by Fatcarbon, with subtle gold inlay running through the material.
Each dial is unique, with natural variation in pattern and tone. The dark base contrasts with the fully lumed numerals, maintaining clarity while adding visual texture.
The titanium case is treated with a 1200HV hardened coating to improve scratch resistance, while the box-shaped sapphire crystal enhances legibility and gives the watch a slightly more pronounced profile, reminiscent of a cockpit canopy.
A sapphire caseback reveals the movement, adding a technical layer without disrupting the overall design.
Movement & Mechanics
Inside is the La Joux Perret G100 Soigné automatic movement, finished in anthracite with a custom turbine-style rotor.
With a 68-hour power reserve, it offers strong autonomy for daily wear. La Joux Perret is known for producing higher-end mechanical movements, and its inclusion here elevates the Eagle beyond entry-level pilot watches.
Bracelet/Strap & Wearability
The watch is fitted on an FKM rubber strap with white pilot-style stitching and a titanium buckle.
This keeps the watch lightweight and comfortable, while maintaining a sport-oriented feel. At 39mm with a relatively slim profile, the Eagle 2 wears balanced and versatile across different wrist sizes.
Final Impression
The Zelos Eagle 2 Titanium Carbon is a considered take on the modern pilot’s watch.
It focuses on material, structure, and proportion rather than excess detail. The combination of a carbon composite dial, hardened titanium case, and Swiss movement gives it a more refined and technical character. A strong option for those looking for a pilot’s watch with depth and everyday practicality.

The Angles Triscope challenges the way we perceive time. Instead of a circular dial and sweeping hands, it presents time through geometry: a jumping hour display paired with a triangular minute path, housed within a softened Reuleaux triangle case.
Mechanical, architectural, and unapologetically unconventional; this is independent watchmaking expressed through form.
Inspiration & Design
Created by Angles Watches, the Triscope reflects over two decades of industry experience distilled into something entirely original.
The case adopts a Reuleaux triangle silhouette: a softened three-sided form that maintains constant width while rejecting traditional round symmetry. The result is neither square nor circular, but something deliberate and sculptural.
At the narrow left angle sits a magnified jump-hour aperture. Opposite it, the dial opens into a triangular minute register, exposing part of the movement beneath, reinforcing the watch’s mechanical honesty.
This is geometry in motion.
Movement & Mechanics
The Triscope is powered by the Miyota 90S5 automatic movement, chosen for its slim architecture and reliability.
Unlike conventional three-hand watches:
The hour jumps instantly at the top of each hour
The balance wheel remains visible at 5 o’clock
The small seconds hand is omitted for a cleaner dial
The 90S5 beats at 28,800vph with approximately 36 hours of power reserve, delivering smooth mechanical rhythm beneath an unconventional display.
Case & Construction
Material: 316L stainless steel
Crystal: Sapphire with magnified jump-hour window
Case Shape: Reuleaux triangular form
Finishing: Brushed surfaces with polished bevel transitions
The case’s geometry is complex but controlled. Edges are softened, proportions balanced. Despite its bold architecture, it remains wearable and considered.
The exhibition caseback reveals the movement and individually numbered engraving, reinforcing its limited-production character.
How It Reads Time
The Triscope requires a brief moment of recalibration; then becomes intuitive.
Hours: Displayed in the magnified aperture at the left. The numeral jumps instantly at each hour.
Minutes: Indicated by a lever-style hand that travels along the triangular minute track.
The exposed brass ratchet mechanism drives the minute indicator, doubling as both function and visual theatre.
It is not time shown passively; it is time performed.
Available Variants
All three models are available for pre-order:
Bare Steel: Brushed steel dial with contrasting lume
Night Out: Darkened dial with white lume accents
Black Out: DLC black edition with green lume
Each maintains the same mechanical architecture with distinct tonal identity.
