The Oris x Bracenet Aquis is a special edition collaboration between independent Swiss watchmaker, Oris, and social enterprise, Bracenet, which makes accessories from upcycled "ghost" fishing nets.
Oris has always been a strong champion for thinking, behaving and acting sustainably. Over the years, Oris has significantly reduced the environmental impact of its factory in Hölstein; it has expanded its portfolio of sustainable suppliers; and Oris has partnerd with a wide body of pioneering charities, social enterprises, non-profits and businesses with a sustainability profile that matches the brand's. Change for the Better remains a key, ongoing goal for Oris.
The Oris x Bracenet watches is one result of this goal. Ghost fishing nets - nets which have been discarded or lost - are estimated to make up almost 50% of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (GPGP). These ghost fishing nets continue to catch and kill marine life as they remain in the oceans. Bracenet was founded to tackle this issue by transforming this life-threatening waste product into beautiful products and accessories that also make a statement: change must come.
The Oris x Bracenet watches come with a spectacular dial made of recycled ghost and end-of-life nets. Making these kaleidoscopic dials involves taking small green, blue and white offcuts and gently warming them until they melt into the raw material. As they cool, they harden into a thin sheet of material. This is then cut to size, planed and sanded down until it's just 0.3mm thick. The material contains no additives, fillers or glues. No two dials are the same.
When you wear the Oris x Bracenet watch, know that you're bearing a symbol of change. Available in two sizes: 36.5mm or 43.5mm.

The Nivada Grenchen Antarctic Diver No Date is a faithful revival of a true mid-century tool watch, reissued with modern proportions and materials while preserving the character that made the original an icon. Compact, purposeful, and unmistakably vintage, it is a diver designed for real use - underwater or otherwise.
With its no-date configuration, balanced dial, and utilitarian elegance, this is a watch that prioritises clarity, proportion, and heritage over excess.
Inspiration & Design
The Antarctic Diver traces its lineage to one of Nivada Grenchen’s most recognisable historical references. This reissue stays remarkably close to the original, retaining the defining visual codes that collectors value: restrained proportions, functional layout, and period-correct typography.
The decision to offer a no-date dial reinforces the watch’s tool-first philosophy, preserving symmetry and legibility while staying true to vintage dive-watch conventions. It is a design rooted in purpose, not nostalgia alone.
Dial & Case Details
The black dial provides a crisp, highly legible backdrop for the patina-toned hands and indices, faithfully echoing the look of the original model. Subtle red crosshair markings add a distinctive historical signature without overpowering the design.
At 38mm in diameter and 12.9mm thick, the stainless-steel case strikes a confident balance between vintage proportions and modern wrist presence. The minimalist rotating bezel - free of numerals - reinforces the watch’s clean, functional aesthetic while remaining precise and easy to operate.
Branding is period-correct throughout: the vintage “Nivada Automatic” logo at 12 o’clock and “Antarctic-Diver” text at 6 o’clock are rendered in authentic script, preserving the character of the original design.
The solid caseback is engraved with the Antarctic collection’s signature penguin emblem - a symbolic nod to extreme environments and the spirit of exploration.
Movement & Mechanics
Inside the Antarctic Diver beats a Swiss automatic movement chosen for reliability and robustness. Designed to perform consistently across environments, it delivers dependable timekeeping without unnecessary complication.
This mechanical simplicity aligns perfectly with the watch’s no-date, tool-focused design ethos.
Bracelet & Wearability
Fitted to a stainless-steel Oyster-style bracelet, the Antarctic Diver wears comfortably and securely. The bracelet’s solid construction complements the watch’s utilitarian nature while allowing it to transition effortlessly from active use to everyday wear.
Slim enough to disappear under a cuff yet substantial enough to feel reassuring on the wrist, it is a watch that adapts easily to changing settings - from dive gear to dinner jacket.
Final Impression
The Nivada Grenchen Antarctic Diver No Date is a lesson in restraint done right. It delivers vintage authenticity without compromise, modern build quality without over-refinement, and a design that feels as relevant today as it did decades ago.
A true everyday diver - honest, capable, and quietly confident.

The Lucky Harvey Dragon White reinterprets ancient dragon mythology through clarity, restraint, and motion. Where other expressions emphasise power or ceremony, this variant focuses on purity and balance - allowing the mechanical animation to unfold with quiet confidence.
Through refined execution and thoughtful design, the Dragon White transforms myth into an experience that feels contemporary, wearable, and enduring.
Why We Curated This Watch
A lighter, more restrained interpretation of Lucky Harvey’s Dragon automaton
In-house movement combining timekeeping with symbolic animation
Sculptural dial balanced by a clean white aesthetic
A versatile expression of cultural storytelling for everyday wear
Inspiration & Design
Inspired by the revered dragon - a symbol of wisdom, transformation, and harmony - the Dragon White expresses mythology through elegance rather than intensity. The dragon motif is meticulously hand-engraved, encircling the dial in a fluid composition that suggests motion even at rest.
The animation is subtle and intentional. At the start of each hour, a lustrous bead emerges and gently retreats, evoking the mythical dragon’s pearl - a symbol of enlightenment and fortune. The movement feels ritualistic, reinforcing meaning without excess.
Dial & Case Details
Housed in a 43mm polished stainless-steel case, the Dragon White presents a crisp, contemporary presence on the wrist. The white-themed dial places focus on the sculpted dragon, while luminous hands and indices ensure clarity across lighting conditions.
A sapphire crystal protects the dial, and an exhibition caseback reveals the automaton movement in action. The watch is paired with a hybrid leather and fluororubber strap, balancing refinement with durability.
With 5ATM water resistance, the Dragon White is crafted for everyday elegance.
Movement & Mechanics
Powering the Dragon White is Lucky Harvey’s in-house automaton calibre, delivering approximately 40 hours of power reserve. This movement controls both accurate timekeeping and the signature bead animation, uniting mechanical precision with symbolic storytelling.
It is a measured blend of engineering and artistry - expressive without being overstated.
On the Wrist
The Dragon White wears with ease and balance. Its clean palette and polished case give it a lighter visual presence, making it especially versatile across styles and occasions.
This is a watch that reveals its story gradually - rewarding attention rather than demanding it.

With this navy watch, the Laco Cuxhaven, German watchmaker Laco combines function and design of two seafaring classics: the 1940s pocket watch and a model resembling the watches of the crew on board of the "U1" submarine. Manual wind movement, dial and casing are essentially just as they were in the watches' predecessors. However, the modern wrist watch "Made in Germany" has been made to have a more optically pleasing appearance. One special feature is the prominently large transparent base which allows you to see the elegant clockwork.
Seafaring has hugely shaped the development of accurate timepieces. The pocket watch originally served as a means of exact time measurement and to determine geographical distances independently from landmarks. From a visual perspective, the features officially decided upon by the German naval observatory have become popular because of their clear readability - for example, matt-black Arabian numerals and the railway-themed minute circle have been characteristics of Laco pocket watches for ages. This is shown by both the model produced for the German Navy in the 1940s and the modern "Wilhelmshaven" edition. Similar details can in turn be found in the submarine watch with the Unitas clockwork 6498 - a wrist watch which was made in limited edition in collaboration with Deutsche Post in the mid-2000s.
The advent of the new navy watch enables Laco to close the circle and present a modern wristwatch which combines the qualities of the two prototypes. For example, it includes a sturdy stainless steel casing, a subsidiary seconds display in the number 6 position, numerals and indices treated with afterglow Superluminova C3 paint and a wind-up calibre. The Laco 98 clockwork is based on the Swiss ETA 6498.1. Its high-grade components such as the thermally blued screws and various decorative cuts are visibly highlighted by the sapphire glass base.
The bright-coloured Laco Cuxhaven variant is beautifully adorned with a white dial and a cream-coloured leather strap. The name is evocative of maritime cities - just like with the "Wilhelmshaven" pocket watch.
