Laco Uhrenmanufaktur was founded in 1925 in the idyllic town of Pforzheim, Black Forest. Laco became well-known, thanks to the Fliegeruhren and was one of five companies to produce chronometers for the German military. Laco has since become inextricably linked to pilot watches. Laco’s focus now is based on a return to its roots: producing handmade watches with a strong emphasis on quality – and not quantity – to honour the “Made in Germany” tag. A Laco is more than a watch. It is an expression of character. Because no matter whether you wear a robust aviator watch, a precise chronograph or a timelessly elegant classic on your wrist, each Laco has a unique character, which is distinguished by the love of detail and passion with which Laco's watchmakers built it, with complex and sophisticated craftsmanship.
Every shade tells a story.
The Laco Augsburg Grün 39 brings a refreshing twist to the classic pilot watch silhouette with a deep green dial that balances vintage aviation charm and modern wearability. Compact yet confident at 39mm, it delivers timeless design, German precision, and everyday reliability - an authentic tribute to Laco’s historic pilot lineage.
Inspiration & Design
Rooted in Laco’s heritage as one of the original manufacturers of WWII-era pilot watches, the Augsburg Grün 39 captures that utilitarian spirit with a contemporary palette. The green dial offers a subtle point of difference - familiar yet distinctive - paired with crisp white numerals and luminous hands for perfect legibility day or night.
Its brushed stainless-steel case, minimal Type A layout, and domed crystal give the watch an understated authority that suits both casual and formal wear. The grey vintage-style leather strap, accented with green stitching, completes the harmonious look.
Dial & Case Details
The 39mm stainless-steel case offers balanced proportions with a 46.5mm lug-to-lug span and just 11.5mm in height - making it ideal for most wrists. The dial features SuperLumiNova C1 treatment for all numerals and hands, ensuring easy readability even in low-light conditions.
Driven by Laco’s reliable automatic calibre 2S (based on the Miyota 821A), the movement features hacking seconds and a 42-hour power reserve.
Strap & Wearability
The vintage grey leather strap gives the Laco Augsburg Grün 39 a grounded, rugged character that softens beautifully over time. Contrasting green stitching ties back to the dial tone, enhancing visual cohesion. With its modest dimensions and neutral hues, the watch wears comfortably and pairs easily with any outfit - from aviation jacket to tailored shirt.

Laco Heidelberg – Authentic German Pilot Watch Heritage Reimagined
The Laco Heidelberg from the Laco Pilot Watches Original collection is a modern tribute to one of the most iconic aviation timepieces in history — the Beobachtungsuhren (or B-Uhr), used by German pilots during the 1940s. Faithfully crafted based on original specifications from the Reichsluftfahrtministerium (RLM), the Laco Heidelberg offers exceptional authenticity, quality, and aviation history on your wrist.
Originally produced by only five approved manufacturers (including Laco, IWC, Stowa, Lange & Söhne, and Wempe), these pilot watches served not just as timekeepers but as vital navigation instruments. With the Laco Heidelberg, you’re wearing more than a watch — you’re wearing a piece of horological heritage.
Key Features of the Laco Heidelberg
✅ True to Original B-Uhr Design:Built according to historical blueprints with modern craftsmanship.
✅ Available in Contemporary Case Sizes:Choose from 39mm, 42mm, or 45mm — with proportions carefully adapted to maintain authentic design.
✅ Iconic Logo-Free Dial:Inspired by wartime designs where legibility and function came first. Available in Type A (Baumuster A) or Type B (Baumuster B) dial layouts.
✅ Anti-Reflective Matte Finish Case:Straight lugs and a grey, bead-blasted finish eliminate glare — just like in the original cockpit-ready models.
✅ Superluminova Illumination:Crisp, clear readability in both day and night — a safe and modern alternative to the radioactive lume used in the past.
✅ Oversized Onion Crown:Designed for ease of use even when wearing gloves — a hallmark of the original pilot's watch.
✅ Historic Engravings:Features “FL 23883” engraving on the side of the case, a nod to its original military classification, and detailed caseback engravings referencing unit, manufacturer, and movement type.
✅ Riveted Leather Strap:A traditional aviator strap design — now decorative, but once used to secure the strap to fixed lugs.
Whether you're a pilot watch enthusiast, a history buff, or simply seeking a distinctive timepiece with timeless character, the Laco Heidelberg is a powerful expression of German engineering, wartime legacy, and mechanical precision.

With this navy watch, the Laco Cuxhaven, German watchmaker Laco combines function and design of two seafaring classics: the 1940s pocket watch and a model resembling the watches of the crew on board of the "U1" submarine. Manual wind movement, dial and casing are essentially just as they were in the watches' predecessors. However, the modern wrist watch "Made in Germany" has been made to have a more optically pleasing appearance. One special feature is the prominently large transparent base which allows you to see the elegant clockwork.
Seafaring has hugely shaped the development of accurate timepieces. The pocket watch originally served as a means of exact time measurement and to determine geographical distances independently from landmarks. From a visual perspective, the features officially decided upon by the German naval observatory have become popular because of their clear readability - for example, matt-black Arabian numerals and the railway-themed minute circle have been characteristics of Laco pocket watches for ages. This is shown by both the model produced for the German Navy in the 1940s and the modern "Wilhelmshaven" edition. Similar details can in turn be found in the submarine watch with the Unitas clockwork 6498 - a wrist watch which was made in limited edition in collaboration with Deutsche Post in the mid-2000s.
The advent of the new navy watch enables Laco to close the circle and present a modern wristwatch which combines the qualities of the two prototypes. For example, it includes a sturdy stainless steel casing, a subsidiary seconds display in the number 6 position, numerals and indices treated with afterglow Superluminova C3 paint and a wind-up calibre. The Laco 98 clockwork is based on the Swiss ETA 6498.1. Its high-grade components such as the thermally blued screws and various decorative cuts are visibly highlighted by the sapphire glass base.
The bright-coloured Laco Cuxhaven variant is beautifully adorned with a white dial and a cream-coloured leather strap. The name is evocative of maritime cities - just like with the "Wilhelmshaven" pocket watch.

The Laco Bremerhaven is inspired by the classic navy pocket watches from the 1940s and combines traditional craftsmanship with timeless elegance. It embodies a piece of maritime history with historically accurate details.
The Laco Bremerhaven 42.5 impresses with the proven handwinding movement ETA Unitas 6498.2, which is rarely found on the watch market and thus almost considered a rarity. The small seconds at 6 o'clock adds an extra touch of sophistication to the Laco Bremerhaven 42.5 and, like the railroad minute dial, is reminiscent of the historical models.
The Laco Bremerhaven 42.5 features a robust sapphire crystal and a generous see-through caseback, also made of sapphire crystal, which provides a view of the decorated movement.
The Laco Bremerhaven delights with a striking black dial that is complemented with a smooth, black leather strap that harmonises perfectly with the timeless style of the black dial.
To ensure good readability even at night and under poor visibility conditions, the numerals, indexes and hands are coated with the luminous material SuperLuminova C3. The frames of the hour and minute hands on the Laco Bremerhaven are painted black.

Robust, versatile, and luminous in the dark: a scorpion has the qualities it needs to thrive in many different environments. The same applies to the Laco Amazonas, which is also suitable for a wide range of applications. That's why the watch also features appropriate markings as a special highlight: a relief design in the form of a scorpion.
The four timekeepers of the Laco Amazonas collection share the same black dial with white arabic numerals as well as the shape of their casing. Depending on the model they differ in their visual colour accents, with the black, unidirectional bezel, the indices and the minute hand being coated in luminous Superluminova paint in white, green, blue, or orange. The long-lasting afterglow effect ensures optimal readability in low lighting conditions or even complete darkness. This is another aspect where the scorpion analogy is appropriate: the scorpion produces fluorescent materials that make it visible at night under UV lighting.
With its solid exoskeleton, the scorpion is also exceptionally tough and strong for its small size. This is another characteristic that applies to this squad watch. The 42mm diameter Laco Amazonas model also resists external influences. This is assured thanks to the solid stainless steel case, and the fact that both the caseback and the crown are screwed into place.
The double domed sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant. Its internal anti-reflective coating means that reflections are reduced, with improved transparency. The watch is also waterproof to 30 atmospheres and, to ensure that the watch can be used to the full in the water, different models are available, with a choice of a black rubber or stainless steel strap.
The "Scorpion" combines practical functionality with sophisticated looks. It fulfils its potential in a variety of different settings. From the mountains to the desert or tropical rainforests, this flexible sports watch is ready for daily use in outdoor environments. The names of the four models reflect its purpose, namely Himalaya, Amazonas, Atlantik and Mojave.

The Laco Augsburg Blaue Stunde 39 is part of the Blaue Stunde collection of pilot watches. Blaue Stunde translates to "twilight hour" in German and references that short period between dusk and dawn or dawn and dusk that the sky turns an immaculate blue. This is the shade of blue that Laco captures in its Blaue Stunde collection. The Laco Augsburg Blaue Stunde 39 comes with a Type A (Baumaster A) design dial. This features a classic dial with 11 Arabic numerals and a triangle with two dots instead of the number at 12 o'clock.
There are pilot watches. And then there is the pilot watch from Laco. As one of a few exclusive companies producing original pilot watches, the workshop in Pforzheim can look back on a long tradition. Whereas in the 1940s, a Laco was an indispensable tool in the cockpit, today it is an expression of freedom. With a Laco aviator watch, you are not only wearing a precise and robust watch on your wrist, but also a piece of history.
Regardless of which Laco aviator watch you choose, all models have one thing in common: a legendary history. In the 1940s, only a handful of companies received permission to manufacture pilot watches. One of them was Laco. The detailed requirements laid down for observation watches for the German Air Force were formulated by the Ministry of Aviation under the classification "FL 23883". This number stood for "navigation devices" and could also be seen on each watch on the opposite side of the winder.
As authentic replicas of historical Laco aviator watches from the 1940s, the current models are characterised by their high precision combined with outstanding design.
The main characteristics of a Laco aviator watch are, among other things, the iconic watch face, the distinctive onion-shaped crown, the closed leather strap and the surface finish of the casing.
Robust aviator watches with distinctive marks that tell a story are the "heirlooms" of Laco. The unique and intentional signs of wear on the aviator watches attest to their authenticity and an eventful history - and turns each "heirloom" into a high-quality one-of-a-kind item.
In other words: a legend that Laco's watchmakers build with devotion - and Laco's customers wear with passion.
