Laco

Laco Pilot Watch Hamburg Din Red Army Watches
Laco Uhrenmanufaktur was founded in 1925 in the idyllic town of Pforzheim, Black Forest. Laco became well-known, thanks to the Fliegeruhren and was one of five companies to produce chronometers for the German military. Laco has since become inextricably linked to pilot watches. Laco’s focus now is based on a return to its roots: producing handmade watches with a strong emphasis on quality – and not quantity – to honour the “Made in Germany” tag. A Laco is more than a watch. It is an expression of character. Because no matter whether you wear a robust aviator watch, a precise chronograph or a timelessly elegant classic on your wrist, each Laco has a unique character, which is distinguished by the love of detail and passion with which Laco's watchmakers built it, with complex and sophisticated craftsmanship.

    Laco Augsburg Blaue Stunde 39

The Laco Augsburg Blaue Stunde 39 is part of the Blaue Stunde collection of pilot watches. Blaue Stunde translates to "twilight hour" in German and references that short period between dusk and dawn or dawn and dusk that the sky turns an immaculate blue. This is the shade of blue that Laco captures in its Blaue Stunde collection. The Laco Augsburg Blaue Stunde 39 comes with a Type A (Baumaster A) design dial. This features a classic dial with 11 Arabic numerals and a triangle with two dots instead of the number at 12 o'clock.  There are pilot watches. And then there is the pilot watch from Laco. As one of a few exclusive companies producing original pilot watches, the workshop in Pforzheim can look back on a long tradition. Whereas in the 1940s, a Laco was an indispensable tool in the cockpit, today it is an expression of freedom. With a Laco aviator watch, you are not only wearing a precise and robust watch on your wrist, but also a piece of history. Regardless of which Laco aviator watch you choose, all models have one thing in common: a legendary history. In the 1940s, only a handful of companies received permission to manufacture pilot watches. One of them was Laco. The detailed requirements laid down for observation watches for the German Air Force were formulated by the Ministry of Aviation under the classification "FL 23883". This number stood for "navigation devices" and could also be seen on each watch on the opposite side of the winder. As authentic replicas of historical Laco aviator watches from the 1940s, the current models are characterised by their high precision combined with outstanding design. The main characteristics of a Laco aviator watch are, among other things, the iconic watch face, the distinctive onion-shaped crown, the closed leather strap and the surface finish of the casing. Robust aviator watches with distinctive marks that tell a story are the "heirlooms" of Laco. The unique and intentional signs of wear on the aviator watches attest to their authenticity and an eventful history - and turns each "heirloom" into a high-quality one-of-a-kind item. In other words: a legend that Laco's watchmakers build with devotion - and Laco's customers wear with passion. Laco Erbstück Heidelberg 39

The Laco Erbstück Heidelberg 39 is part of Laco's Erbstück collection. Inspired by the original 55mm sized observation watches from the 1940s, the Laco Erbstück collection's models look as if they have been worn over several generations. The handmade Laco Erbstück watch is a one of a kind. Traces of ageing give these timepieces a historic charm that usually can only be found in vintage models.  Laco has developed a unique method to achieve this special look, creating a natural patina on the watches. Scrapes, scratches, discolouration and wear and tear can be reproduced to appear as they do on old originals. All components - case, dial, hands or strap - are aged individually and by hand, using a work-intensive procedure without mechanical aids, so the ageing looks absolutely authentic and none is alike. This gives the Laco Erbstück watches the appeal of an historic timepiece, making each one completely unique - as individual and distinctive as its owner!  Technical Specifications Case size: 39mm Case material: Stainless steel case, elaborately hand-finished in an antique look with lateral engraving FL23883; crown execution like original Beobachtungsuhr Case back: Hand-aged stainless steel caseback with engraving Movement type: Automatic Movement no.:  Laco 200 based on Sellita SW200 Power reserve: Approx 42hrs Dial: Type A black matte dial with luminous indices in Superluminova C3, like the case in antique look; thermally blued steel hands with Superluminova coating, elaborate hand-finishing ages each watch individually  Glass: Sapphire crystal Water resistance: 5ATM Strap type: Leather Strap material: Closed loop pilot's brown calf vintage leather strap with rivets Buckle: Tang buckle Warranty: 2 years

  • Laco Atacama 2 Laco Atacama 2

    Laco Atacama 2

When development work began for the Laco Atacama 2 watch, high quality standards and requirements had to be met - for the toughest conditions. A 100% reliable thoroughbred mechanical watch "Made in Germany" resulted from work partly carried out in close cooperation with the German Army and special units. The Laco Atacama is especially made to suit those in the emergency forces, police, military and those who love outdoor activities. In order to give the watch the necessary strength, the sensitive screwed crown has been integrated in an innovative way into the watch strap at the 12 o´clock position. The double joint between the case and strap makes this possible. Due to this, the watch fits snugly onto the wrist, and increases wearer comfort. In addition, the screw-down crown ensures water resistance of up to 50ATM. The Laco 200 automatic movement, based on the Swiss calibre Sellita SW200, functions perfectly even in the trickiest situations. In contrast to other types of watch fitted with a rotating bezel, the rotatable ring has a countdown function, counting down backwards anti-clockwise. This is particularly useful when coordinating joint deployments. Hard sapphire crystal on the front and back protects the interior of the watch. Hands, numbers and indexes are coated with luminescent Superluminova, rendering them easily legible during twilight and at night. In addition, the screw-down crown ensures water resistance of up to 50ATM. The Laco Atacama 2, part of the brand's range of Squad Watches, is suited for robust daily use in the toughest conditions - and has a simple, yet distinct design. Technical Specifications Case size: 46.25mm Case material: Stainless steel with black PVD coating Case back: Exhibition caseback with sapphire crystal Movement type: Automatic Movement no.:  Sellita SW200 Power reserve: Approx 38hrs Dial: Black matte dial with SuperLuminova C3-coated hands, numerals and indices; white minute track; hour hand filled with luminous material Superluminova C3, minute hand filled with Superluminova orange, second hand white and filled with Superluminova orange Glass: Flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating  Water resistance: 50ATM Strap type: Rubber Strap material: Black rubber Buckle: Tang buckle Warranty: 2 years
