  • Chronofixe Cofrefor Astérix in Switzerland limited edition automatic watch front view Chronofixe Cofrefor Astérix in Switzerland limited edition automatic watch angled view

Chronofixe Cofrefor Astérix in Switzerland Limited Edition Automatic Watch by Seconde/Seconde/

Designed by Seconde/Seconde/ to celebrate 55 years of Astérix in Switzerland, the Chronofixe Cofrefor Limited Edition transforms comic-book storytelling into a clever piece of Swiss mechanical watchmaking. Created in collaboration with Romaric André and Chronofixe, the Cofrefor turns the idea of a Swiss bank vault into wearable satire - complete with a combination-lock-inspired bezel, vault-handle-style crown, and Astérix himself attempting to crack the “safe” hidden within the dial. Playful without becoming gimmicky, the Cofrefor balances humour, nostalgia, and proper horology in a way only Seconde/Seconde/ can. Inspiration & Design Inspired by the iconic Astérix in Switzerland comic released in 1970, the Cofrefor imagines Astérix in the middle of a Swiss vault heist - ear pressed to the dial while decoding the bezel like a combination lock. The concept perfectly captures Seconde/Seconde/’s signature approach to watch design: transforming familiar watch components into visual storytelling devices while preserving the integrity of the watch itself. The bi-directional bezel resembles the dial of a high-security safe, while the oversized crown references a traditional Swiss vault handle. The engraved caseback continues the narrative with the phrase: “Aussi hermétique qu’un coffre helvétique”(“As sealed as a Swiss vault.”) Every detail contributes to the joke without overwhelming the watch, resulting in a piece that feels witty rather than theatrical. Dial & Case Details The Cofrefor features a compact and versatile 37mm stainless steel case, giving it vintage-inspired proportions that wear comfortably across a wide range of wrist sizes. Its brushed finishing reinforces the industrial vault aesthetic, while the restrained monochromatic colour palette keeps the playful dial artwork balanced and surprisingly wearable. The bezel itself is one of the standout design elements - cleverly functioning visually like the rotating dial of a safe while remaining fully integrated into the overall watch design. Paired with a brushed stainless steel bracelet, the Cofrefor feels solid, understated, and distinctly Swiss despite its comic-book origins. Movement & Mechanics Beneath the playful exterior sits the trusted Sellita SW200 automatic movement. Widely respected across independent Swiss watchmaking, the SW200 is known for its reliability, serviceability, and stable long-term performance. Automatic winding means the watch is powered by the motion of the wrist, eliminating the need for batteries while delivering the tactile charm collectors appreciate in mechanical watches. This is an important distinction - the Cofrefor is not merely a novelty collaboration, but a genuine Swiss Made mechanical watch built with proper horological foundations. Bracelet & Wearability At 37mm, the Cofrefor delivers an easy everyday fit with strong vintage character. The brushed steel bracelet complements the case perfectly and keeps the watch grounded despite its highly thematic design language. Rather than demanding attention immediately, the details reveal themselves gradually - rewarding owners and fellow enthusiasts who take a closer look. It is exactly the sort of watch that sparks conversations organically. Final Impression The Chronofixe Cofrefor succeeds because it understands both comic culture and watch culture equally well. Rather than simply placing characters on a dial, Seconde/Seconde/ transforms the bezel, crown, caseback, and dial into part of a larger visual narrative. The result is clever, self-aware, and distinctly collectible. At the same time, the watch remains mechanically credible, wearable, and thoughtfully executed - something many themed watches fail to achieve. For collectors of independent watchmaking, fans of Astérix, or anyone who appreciates humour executed intelligently through design, the Cofrefor stands out as one of the more original limited editions in recent years. And appropriately for a watch inspired by a Swiss vault - once these disappear, they may remain locked away for good. • New Limited Edition Horizon Nemo Grey Matters Grey Wave 40mm automatic watch with textured grey dial Angled view of Horizon Nemo Grey Wave automatic watch and sapphire bezel

Horizon Nemo Grey Matters Grey Wave 40mm Automatic

The Horizon Nemo Grey Matters Grey Wave brings movement to a monochromatic palette. Flowing, intersecting lines ripple across the grey dial, creating a surface that appears to shift and change as light moves across it. Part of the Nemo Grey Matters collection, Grey Wave takes the architectural foundations of the Nemo and pares back the colour, allowing texture, depth and light to become the defining elements - while retaining the robust specifications and everyday versatility that underpin the collection. Inspiration & Design Grey Matters explores what happens when Horizon steps away from the vibrant colour often associated with the Nemo and focuses instead on texture, light and subtle detail. For Grey Wave, the inspiration comes from movement. Flowing intersecting lines evoke ripples across water and shifting currents, introducing a sense of motion to an otherwise restrained grey palette. The effect changes with the viewing angle. At times the pattern appears quiet and almost tonal; under changing light, the lines become more pronounced and the dial takes on a noticeably more dynamic character. Dial & Case The Grey Wave dial is defined by its flowing textured pattern, creating the impression of movement across the monochromatic surface. Against the restrained grey palette, the Nemo's applied elements and BGW9 Super-LumiNova provide clarity while allowing the texture beneath to remain the focus. Surrounding the dial is a 120-click unidirectional bezel fitted with a sapphire insert, continuing the grey treatment beyond the dial. The 316L stainless-steel case measures 40mm in diameter, 11.85mm high and 47mm lug-to-lug - proportions that balance the visual presence of a dive watch with everyday wearability. A top-hat sapphire crystal with three layers of anti-reflective coating protects the dial. A screw-down crown and 200m/20ATM of water resistance reinforce the Nemo's functional foundations. Movement Inside is the Miyota 9039, a slim, no-date automatic movement that allows the dial to remain visually balanced without a date aperture interrupting the Grey Wave pattern. A proven Japanese calibre, the 9039 provides the dependable mechanical foundation that suits the Nemo's positioning as a watch designed to be worn rather than treated delicately. Bracelet / Strap Grey Wave is supplied on a 316L stainless-steel bracelet with a butterfly clasp. A push-button micro-adjustment system built into the links allows the fit to be fine-tuned without tools. Also included is a vintage-style strap made from oiled and glazed aniline full-grain leather, giving the watch a noticeably different character away from the steel bracelet. The combination makes Grey Wave particularly versatile: contemporary and integrated on steel, warmer and more relaxed on leather. Final Thoughts Grey Wave demonstrates how much visual energy can be created without relying on colour. Its monochromatic palette may be restrained, but the dial itself is anything but static. The flowing pattern reacts to light and viewing angle, giving the watch a sense of movement that rewards a closer look. Where Grey Weave feels structured and quietly tactile, Grey Wave is the more dynamic of the two Grey Matters interpretations - an understated Nemo with considerably more going on beneath the surface. Technical Specifications Limited edition: Only 23 pieces available worldwide Case size: 40mm  Case material: 316L stainless steel Case back: 316L stainless steel Movement type: Automatic Movement no.: Miyota 9039 Power reserve: Approx 42hrs Dial: Grey textured dial; SuperLuminova BGW9 on hands, numbers, indices Bezel: Unidirectional, 120-click, sapphire insert Glass: Top hat sapphire crystal with 3 layers of anti-reflective coating Water resistance: 20ATM Strap type: Bracelet Strap material: Stainless steel bracelet with Microsliders Buckle: Stainless steel butterfly clasp Warranty: 1 year

  • New Limited Edition Horizon Nemo Grey Matters Grey Weave 40mm automatic watch with textured grey dial Angled view of Horizon Nemo Grey Weave automatic watch and sapphire bezel

Horizon Nemo Grey Matters Grey Weave 40mm Automatic

The Horizon Nemo Grey Matters Grey Weave takes the familiar architecture of the Nemo in a quieter, more considered direction. Colour gives way to texture, with a monochromatic grey dial whose intricate crosshatched surface draws inspiration from woven fabric. Subtle from a distance and increasingly detailed up close, Grey Weave lets light, texture and the Nemo's layered construction do the talking - while retaining the robust specifications and everyday versatility that underpin the collection. Inspiration & Design Grey Matters explores what happens when Horizon steps away from the vibrant colour often associated with the Nemo and focuses instead on texture, light and subtle detail. For Grey Weave, the inspiration comes from woven fabric. Fine intersecting lines form a crosshatched dial pattern, creating a surface that appears restrained at first glance but reveals greater depth as light moves across it. The effect suits the Nemo particularly well. Its already architectural design gains another layer of visual interest without becoming busier, resulting in a watch that feels distinctive without demanding attention. Dial & Case The Grey Weave dial is defined by its crosshatched texture, creating depth through pattern rather than colour. Against the monochromatic grey palette, the Nemo's applied elements and BGW9 Super-LumiNova provide clarity while allowing the texture beneath to remain the focus. Movement Inside is the Miyota 9039, a slim, no-date automatic movement that allows the dial to remain visually balanced without a date aperture interrupting the Grey Weave pattern. A proven Japanese calibre, the 9039 provides the dependable mechanical foundation that suits the Nemo's positioning as a watch designed to be worn rather than treated delicately. Bracelet / Strap Grey Weave is supplied on a 316L stainless-steel bracelet with a butterfly clasp. A push-button micro-adjustment system built into the links allows the fit to be fine-tuned without tools. Also included is a vintage-style strap made from oiled and glazed aniline full-grain leather, giving the watch a noticeably different character away from the steel bracelet. The combination makes Grey Weave particularly versatile: contemporary and integrated on steel, warmer and more relaxed on leather. Final Thoughts Grey Weave demonstrates that restraint doesn't have to mean simplicity. By reducing the colour palette, Horizon draws greater attention to the details that might otherwise compete for notice - the woven texture of the dial, the layered Nemo architecture and the way the surface changes under different light. It is perhaps the quieter of the two Grey Matters interpretations, but that's precisely its strength: an unconventional Nemo that doesn't need to shout about being different. Technical Specifications Limited edition: Only 23 pieces available worldwide Case size: 40mm  Case material: 316L stainless steel Case back: 316L stainless steel Movement type: Automatic Movement no.: Miyota 9039 Power reserve: Approx 42hrs Dial: Grey textured dial; SuperLuminova BGW9 on hands, numbers, indices Bezel: Unidirectional, 120-click, sapphire insert Glass: Top hat sapphire crystal with 3 layers of anti-reflective coating Water resistance: 20ATM Strap type: Bracelet Strap material: Stainless steel bracelet with Microsliders Buckle: Stainless steel butterfly clasp Warranty: 1 year

  • New ANGLES Cylindrex Black Serpent automatic watch with black cylindrical display and neon-green silicone strap

Angles Cylindrex Black Serpent 40mm Automatic Dual Time Watch

Dark, mechanical and unapologetically futuristic, the Angles Cylindrex Black Serpent takes the collection's radical dual-display architecture and gives it one of its most striking treatments. Its blacked-out case and cylindrical display are punctuated by vivid neon-green indications and a matching green silicone strap. Beneath that unconventional exterior are not one but two automatic mechanical movements, independently powering two different perspectives on time. Inspiration & Design The Cylindrex began with a challenge from Japanese movement manufacturer Miyota surrounding the reintroduction of its 6T movement series. Angles responded by designing a watch around the Miyota 6T15 - and then using it twice. That decision defines the Cylindrex. Instead of presenting time on a conventional flat dial, the watch uses two displays positioned on different planes. Its cylindrical display stretches across the body of the watch, while a separate end-cap display provides another way to read the time. Black Serpent pushes this already unconventional concept further visually. A dark case and display architecture create the backdrop for electric green indications and a matching strap, giving the watch a distinctly futuristic character. Dial & Case The Cylindrex's defining feature is its cylindrical time display, with rotating numeral drums presenting time across the curved front of the watch rather than on a conventional dial. Black Serpent renders the display predominantly in black, contrasted by vivid green numerals and markings for exceptional visual impact. A second display at the end of the case provides another perspective on time, reinforcing the Cylindrex's unusual multi-plane architecture. The case follows the Cylindrex's 40mm-wide, 13mm-high construction and is made from PVD-coated 316L stainless steel. Sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating protect both time displays, while an exhibition sapphire caseback reveals the mechanics and distinctive turbofan-style rotor. Dual push-pull crowns correspond with the watch's twin-movement construction, while drilled screw-down lugs secure the strap. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres. Movement The Cylindrex is unusual outside because it is equally unconventional underneath. Two Miyota 6T15 automatic movements independently power its separate time displays. Each 21-jewel movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, with Angles stating accuracy of ±30 seconds per day. The cylindrical display provides approximately 36 hours of power reserve, while the end-cap display offers approximately 40 hours. It is an intentionally extravagant mechanical solution. Rather than using electronics or a single movement to create the illusion of complexity, the Cylindrex employs two genuine automatic calibres to make its dual-display concept work. Bracelet / Strap Black Serpent is paired with a vivid neon-green silicone strap that provides an emphatic contrast against the black case and display. Measuring 24mm at the case and tapering to 20mm, the strap reinforces the watch's contemporary, almost industrial character while allowing the Black Serpent's distinctive colour treatment to continue beyond the case. Final Thoughts The Cylindrex was never designed to disappear quietly beneath a cuff, and Black Serpent may be one of the clearest expressions of that philosophy. The black-and-neon-green treatment gives it immediate visual impact, but there is substance behind the spectacle. Two automatic movements, two independently powered displays and an architecture dictated by the mechanics make this much more than an exercise in unusual styling. For collectors who believe mechanical watchmaking should occasionally be strange, playful and provocative, Black Serpent makes a convincing case. Technical Specifications Limited edition: Only 100 pieces available worldwide Case size: 40mm (w) x 13mm (h) Case material: 316L stainless steel; PVD-coated Case back: Exhibition sapphire crystal caseback with "turbofan" style rotor Movement type: Automatic Movement no.: Dual Miyota 6T15 Power reserve: Approx 36hrs, cylindrical display; 40hrs, end-cap display Dial: Black cylindrical display with neon-green numerals and markings Glass: Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating Water resistance: 3ATM Strap type: Strap Strap material: Silicone Buckle: 316L stainless steel deployant clasp Warranty: 2 years

  • New ANGLES Cylindrex Silver Cobalt 40mm automatic watch with blue dual time displays ANGLES Cylindrex Silver Cobalt 40mm automatic watch worn on the wrist

Angles Cylindrex Silver Cobalt 40mm Automatic Watch

The Angles Cylindrex Silver Cobalt challenges one of the most familiar conventions in watchmaking: that time should be displayed on a flat dial. Instead, the Cylindrex presents time across two distinct displays - a cylindrical display running along the body of the watch and a second display positioned at the end of the case. More unusual still, each is independently powered by its own automatic mechanical movement. Finished in stainless steel with vivid blue dials and orange accents, the Silver Cobalt turns an unconventional mechanical concept into one of Angles' most distinctive designs. Inspiration & Design The Cylindrex originated from a design challenge by Japanese movement manufacturer Miyota, centred on the reintroduction of its 6T movement series. Angles' response was not simply to build a watch around the Miyota 6T15, but to use the movement twice. That decision defines the entire architecture of the Cylindrex. Rather than presenting time conventionally from a single dial, two Miyota 6T15 movements independently drive two displays positioned on different planes. The cylindrical display makes the watch readable across the top of the case, while the end-cap display offers another perspective on time. The Silver Cobalt brings additional energy to the concept with saturated blue dials and contrasting orange details, giving an already unconventional watch an unmistakable visual identity. Dial & Case The Cylindrex Silver Cobalt features blue dials complemented by orange-anodised aluminium hands on the cylindrical display. A BGW9 white luminous marker at the tip provides a point of visibility in low-light conditions. Its unusual display architecture is housed within a 40mm-wide stainless-steel case measuring 13mm high. Separate sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating protect both time displays, preserving visibility across the watch's unconventional geometry. Two push-pull crowns correspond with its dual-movement construction, while drilled screw-down lugs provide a secure connection for the strap. Turn the watch over and a sapphire exhibition caseback reveals the mechanics within, including Angles' distinctive turbofan-style rotor. Water resistance is rated to 3ATM. Movement The defining mechanical feature of the Cylindrex is not one automatic calibre, but two. Angles uses a pair of Miyota 6T15 automatic movements to independently power the watch's two time displays. Each operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and uses 21 jewels. The cylindrical time display offers approximately 36 hours of power reserve, while the end-cap display provides approximately 40 hours. Angles states accuracy at ±30 seconds per day. Using two mechanical movements where a simpler solution might have sufficed is precisely what gives the Cylindrex its character. The unusual exterior isn't disguising conventional mechanics underneath - the architecture of the watch is intrinsically tied to the way it works. Bracelet / Strap The Silver Cobalt is fitted with a 24mm silicone strap that tapers to 20mm at the clasp. A solid 316L stainless-steel butterfly clasp complements the case and provides a clean, integrated closure, while the silicone construction suits the Cylindrex's contemporary, industrial character. Final Thoughts There are unconventional watches, and then there are watches that reconsider the basic architecture of how a wristwatch should work. The Cylindrex belongs firmly in the latter category. Its sideways cylindrical display immediately catches the eye, but the more interesting story is underneath: two automatic movements independently powering two displays within a single watch. It is an extravagant mechanical solution to a problem that didn't necessarily need solving - and that is precisely part of its appeal. The Silver Cobalt adds enough colour to emphasise the Cylindrex's futuristic personality without overwhelming the mechanics, making this a particularly expressive interpretation of one of ANGLES' most original designs. Technical Specifications Limited edition: Only 100 pieces available worldwide Case size: 40mm (w) x 13mm (h) Case material: 316L stainless steel Case back: Exhibition sapphire crystal caseback with "turbofan" style rotor Movement type: Automatic Movement no.: Dual Miyota 6T15 Power reserve: Approx 36hrs, cylindrical display; 40hrs, end-cap display Dial: Blue with orange-anodised aluminium hands on cylindrical display Glass: Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating Water resistance: 3ATM Strap type: Strap Strap material: Silicone Buckle: 316L stainless steel deployant clasp Warranty: 2 years
