The design is built around a single idea - representing Earth as a system in motion.
At the centre of the dial is a three-dimensional globe that rotates continuously, replacing the role of traditional hands. Time is read against a fixed indicator, turning the display into something spatial rather than flat.
The case and dial are designed to support this concept, with clean geometry and controlled proportions that keep the focus on the rotating Earth. Compared to earlier executions, this version focuses on proportion and wearability.

At the heart of the Blue Planet II is CIGA Design’s Asynchronous-Follow Movement Technology, an innovative mechanical system that reinterprets how time is displayed.
Unlike traditional watches that rely on separate gears for hour and minute hands, this mechanism pairs a stationary hour dial with a dynamic minute dial on the same plane. The hour indication moves through a 30-degree arc, while the minute indication completes a 390-degree rotation.
This refined mechanism builds on the concept introduced in the original Blue Planet, offering smoother interaction between the hour and minute displays while preserving the collection’s distinctive single-point time indication.
