Inspired by the Blaue Stunde, or "Blue Hour", this special edition gives one of Laco's most recognisable pilot watches an elegant new personality.
The finely brushed blue sunray dial captures the changing light of twilight, shifting from deep navy to vibrant blue depending on the viewing angle. Despite this contemporary finish, the Augsburg remains unmistakably a traditional Flieger, retaining its clean Type A (Baumuster A) dial with oversized Arabic numerals, signature triangle at 12 o'clock and uncompromising focus on legibility.
It is a watch that honours history while embracing modern refinement.
Inspiration & Design
The original Flieger watches were designed as precision cockpit instruments where readability was paramount.
The Augsburg Blaue Stunde preserves that philosophy while introducing subtle sophistication through colour and finishing. The matte-finished stainless steel case measures 42mm in diameter, giving the Augsburg a confident wrist presence while remaining comfortable for daily wear.
A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the striking blue sunray dial, while the sapphire exhibition caseback reveals the automatic movement inside. Super-LumiNova C3 on both the numerals and hands ensures excellent visibility in low-light conditions, and the grey two-piece nylon strap complements the cool tones of both the dial and case.
Movement
The Augsburg Blaue Stunde 42 is powered by the Laco 2S automatic movement, based on the reliable Miyota 82S0 calibre. Equipped with second hand stop, it allows precise time setting whenever the crown is pulled.
