  • Orient Star Diver 1964 2nd Ed Green Orient Star Diver 1964 2nd Ed Green

Orient Star Diver 1964 2nd Ed Green

Orient Star's Diver 1964 2nd Edition is based on the Calendar Auto Orient, one of the company’s first divers’ watches released in 1964. The Calendar Auto Orient featured simple dot indices on a mirror black finished dial, hands designed for excellent visibility, a rotating bezel incorporating an anodized aluminum ring, and sharply defined lugs. The Diver 1964 2nd Edition reflects the designs inherited from the original model, a screw case-back, a dual curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and water resistance to 200 metres compliant with the ISO 6425 standard for air diving watches. It also features the in-house 46-F6 series caliber F6N47 automatic movement, which provides high accuracy and a power reserve of over 50 hours.  This green version is is a matte green dial with a matching matte green bezel surface. The green gradation on the dial is inspired by the Ryusendo Cave in Iwate Prefecture, Japan, thought by some to be the most beautiful and mysterious limestone cavern in the world. This model reflects the spirit of the divers who dive deep into the underground lakes to survey the cave and unlock its mysteries. The case is made of high-quality stainless steel (SUS316L) and its relatively compact 41mm diameter makes it ideal for everyday use. The five-piece link metal strap is made of the same SUS316L stainless steel, providing an unmistakable presence on the wrist as well as a comfortable fit. A divers’ extension structure and the trifold deployment buckle with push button and security latch are included, making the watch practical to use when playing sports or walking around town. The pyramid-like ridges of the additional silicon strap echo the design of the metal band of the original Calendar Auto Orient, providing a different look to enjoy. Technical Specifications Case size: 41mm Case material: Stainless steel Case back: Stainless steel Movement type: Automatic Movement no.: F6N47 Power reserve: Approx 50hrs Dial: Green dial with 3D cut indices, arrow-shaped hands and date window at 3 o'clock; uni-directional rotating bezel, power reserve indicator, date Glass: Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating Water resistance: 20ATM Strap type: Bracelet Strap material: Stainless steel Buckle: Stainless steel deployant buckle Warranty: 2 years

The Orient Star Classic Semi Skeleton has the following distinctive characteristics: natural colours; elegant designs for everyday use; a window providing a peek into the movement. This collection evokes a level of sophistication unique to mechanical watches. The design concept is “gentle sunlight”, and dial colours are inspired by the gentle light of the sun shining upon water, plants, and forests. • Nivada Grenchen Antarctic Spider Silver Nivada Grenchen Antarctic Spider Silver

    Nivada Grenchen Antarctic Spider Silver

The Nivada Grenchen Antarctic Spider reissue also started on Instagram, following a post of one of the brand's followers who had the great idea to share his vintage timepiece with Nivada Grenchen. Nivada Grenchen shared this in its stories and response was so overwhelming that the brand knew it was its mission to make the watch again with the same original spirit and guts - but with modern standards (sapphire glass) and Swiss automatic movement (Soprod P024) with screw-down crown offering a 10ATM water resistance., The Spider nickname comes from this crazy sector dial with silver sunray finish and cream Swiss SuperLuminova that looks like a spider’s web. Featuring eight vertically applied indexes on a silver sun-ray brushed dial, what (literally) connects it all together is the eight “spider legs” that stem from the indexes to the centre of the dial. Complemented with super-lumed up Dauphine hands you’ll be turning heads left right and centre with the Spider.  The Nivada Grenchen Antarctic Spider comes with a case diameter of 38mm. Another unmissable detail on the dial is the date magnifier. Technical Specifications Case size: 38mm Case material: 316L stainless steel Case back: 316L stainless steel Movement type: Automatic Movement no.: Soprod P024 Power reserve: Approx 38hrs Dial: Silver sunray dial; silver hour and minutes hands filled with cream SuperLuminova; silver seconds hand Glass: Sapphire Water resistance: 10ATM Strap type: Strap Strap material: Brown calf with white stitching Buckle: Stainless steel tang buckle Warranty: 2 years

  • Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic Black Green Lume Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic Black Green Lume

Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic Black Green Lume

The Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic is the not-so-distant cousin of the original Nivada Antarctic collection launched in 1950. The original rose to fame when it was used by members of the American Navy’s Deep Freeze 1 Task Force during their expeditions in the South Pole (1955-56). It was noted as being reliable and robust enough to perform in the most extreme conditions. Today’s Super Antarctic is an evolution from the original Antarctic keeping close to the 50s’ lines & design. Just like the original Antarctics, Nivada Grenchen added the 1957 International Geophysical Medallion directly on the caseback of all its modern Super Antarctics. Admiral Richard Byrd and his US Navy team were given the Nivada Antarctic to accompany them on their Operation Deep Freeze I expedition to the South Pole in 1955/1956, making it the first watch that went to the Antarctic. A feat of great proportion which earned this model a place in the history of horology! Although, until recent times, before its revival, it was the most underrated expedition watch ever. In November 2021, Nivada Grenchen launched a modern re-issue of the Super Antarctic. Here's an interesting story about it. When one of the fans posted a vintage Super Antarctic on Instagram, Guillaume shared the post as a story on Nivada Grenchen's official Instagram account and the fans went wild. Requests started pouring in to re-issue the model. Nivada Grenchen listened to its fans and set to work. Soon, the Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic was launched. The Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic's black dial is simple but striking. Beneath the Nivada name is the word Aquamatic, (waterproof + automatic). Above the number 6 is the signature Super Antarctic font with 25 RUBIS printed below. The Super Antarctic features a true 1950s vibe, thanks to its unique lollipop hour hand and large sword minute hand combo. Complemented by the (almost) oversized triangle index markers at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock, you’ll clearly understand why this watch was used in conditions as harsh as the South Pole. Both dial and hands work together to provide superb legibility and elegance. The 38mm case of the Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic with a screw-down crown wears comfortably on the wrist. Its case back is decorated with the signature golden medallion. The medallion of the Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic is one of the most intriguing parts of the watch. It throws you into the past and depicts a scenario from operation Deep Freeze I. The embossed aircraft has the following story. On 21 October 1956, one of the first USAF aircrafts, a Douglas C-124 nicknamed "Miss North Caroline" landed in Antarctica after a 121/2-hour flight from Christchurch, New Zealand. Deep Freeze I prepared a permanent research station, which is also etched on the medallion (along with glaciers stars and the crescent moon in the background) and paved the way for more exhaustive research in future Deep Freeze operations. Technical Specifications Case size: 38mm Case material: 316L stainless steel Case back: 316L stainless steel; signature gold medallion on the back Movement type: Automatic Movement no.: Soprod P024 Power reserve: Approx 38hrs Dial: Matte black dial; silver hands and indices filled with green SuperLuminova Glass: Sapphire Water resistance: 10ATM Strap type: Strap Strap material: Brown calf with white stitching Buckle: Stainless steel tang buckle Warranty: 2 years
