  • LIMITED EDITION Alexander Shorokhoff Art for Peace Pocket Watch Alexander Shorokhoff Art for Peace Pocket Watch

Alexander Shorokhoff Art for Peace Pocket Watch

The art of Alexander Shorokhov represents peace, help and support. For Shorokhov, there is no alternative but peace!    For this reason, in response to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, the founder and owner of the Alexander Shorokhoff watch manufactory has created a design for a pocket watch that symbolises peace like no other of his art objects before: the pocket watch, Art for Peace. The pocket watch features a friendly, colourful and harmonious design with a peace sign to send its message of peace to the whole world. The Alexander Shorokhoff Art for Peace pocket watch is designed in the popular avant-garde style of the brand. The main element is the peace sign, which takes centrestage on the pocket watch dial and thus conveys the intended message immediately. The lines of the peace sign divide the dial into 4 coloured parts.   The colours blue and yellow derived from the Ukrainian flag can be seen on the pocket watch dial, alongside orange and green - colours which feature in almost all of Alexander Shorokhoff's avant-garde models. The trademark of the German watch manufactory - the large number 60 - is, as always, in its usual place. The hour and minute hands are also in the trademark curved shape design. The blued surface of the hands and the outer minute scale ensure easy reading of the time. The small seconds at 6 o'clock and its seconds hand give the watch even more precision.   The two artistically designed texts, "Alexander Shorokhoff" and "Peace", at 9 and 3 o'clock were created exactly according to the hand drawing of the designer, Alexander Shorokhov. These, therefore, do not follow a perfectly worked out font, but are artistically free.   According to the philosophy of the designer Alexander Shorokhov, man and the world in which he lives is not perfect. However, harmony, contentment and peace are important.   A beautiful calibre 3105 movement with Côtes de Genève, which is based on the basic structure of the Swiss Valjoux movement 7734 without a chrono function, serves as the heart of the Alexander Shorokhoff Art for Peace pocket watch. And this is also a positioning of the company. True Russian history is full of interesting history and culture. Famous figures such as Tchaikovsky, Dostoyevsky and Tolstoy are an integral part of international art and culture. Kandinsky, Malevich and Yuri Gagarin have also left their mark on world history, each in their own way wise and with his own milestone that shaped the world.   There are only 10 pieces of this special model, which was designed with a lot of heart and love and is intended to convey these feelings accordingly, available worldwide. One of these models was raffled off by the watch manufacturer as part of a fundraiser - the entire proceeds from this model will go to a donation account in the city of Alzenau - the home of the watch manufacturer - for the benefit of Ukrainian refugees. The city of Alzenau is home to many refugees from Ukraine and supports everyone who needs help to find their way back to normal life. The Alexander Shorokhoff watch manufactory supports this from the bottom of its heart.  The other nine pieces are distributed to the most important distributors worldwide to spread the beautiful message of peace around the world.   Here, too, part of the proceeds are donated by the partners to various non-profit organizations. As Alexander Shorokhov himself said: “Let's be strong and help together. Love and support is the most we can give.” Technical Specifications Limited edition: Only 10 pieces available worldwide Case size: 45mm Case material: Stainless steel Case back: Sapphire crystal Movement type: Manual winding Movement no.: AS 3105 Power reserve: Approx 42hrs Dial: Colourful dial featuring blue and yellow representing the Ukrainian flag; orange and green which are characteristic colours of the brand's Avant Garde collection; raised symbols Glass: Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating Water resistance: 3ATM Strap type: Chain Strap material: Stainless steel Warranty: 2 years

  • LIMITED EDITION Alexander Shorokhoff Neva Amber Alexander Shorokhoff Neva Amber

    Alexander Shorokhoff Neva Amber

The Alexander Shorokhoff Neva Amber is a limited edition of 49 pieces and inspired by the mighty and most water-rich river in Europe - the Neva. This is a 74km long river in Russia, which flows from Lake Ladoga into the Neva Bay of the Baltic Sea, passing through Saint Petersburg. In the Alexander Shorokhoff Neva Amber, Alexander Shorokhov focused more on the magnificent, historic city centre, St Petersburg. With 2,300 palaces, magnificent buildings and castles, St Petersburg has been registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site  since 1991 under the collective term Historic Centre of Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments. Alexander Shorokhov is particularly fond of the Amber Room, which is a state room with walls that are covered with amber, gold and mirror elements. Tsarina Elizabeth had it installed in 1741 in the Winter Palace in St Petersburg and finally, in 1755, in the Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye Selo (Tsar’s Village). Amber refers to a clear to opaque yellow gemstone made of fossil resin that has been known and used for thousands of years. But amber can do much more: it is also known to possess a special energy. It is protective, cheerful, warm and positive. It can even help drive away negative feelings. So, if you wear the Alexander Shorokhoff Neva Amber, it reminds you of all these positive emotions and aspects of life. The different warm brown tones make it look like the Amber Room, very pompous and powerful; on the other hand, the warm colours come across very natural and simple. Everything is harmoniously matched with each other. The wavy guilloché of the dial and the small curved second hand, which bears the shape of the letter “N”, referring to the name of the watch and the magnificence of the city, remains as is consistent across the Neva collection. In the Alexander Shorokhoff Neva Amber, the silver-coloured hands and the silver-coloured large number “60” give a nice contrast to the warm colours of the watch. The stainless steel case is complemented with a beautiful dark brown calfskin strap. Powering the Alexander Shorokhoff Neva is the Russian calibre, Poljot 3105. The movement is derived from the Swiss Valjoux calibre 7734, but without the chronograph function. The movement is completely overhauled, re-oiled, adjusted and tested at the Alexander Shorokhoff watch manufacture. The bridges, as always with Alexander Shorokhoff watches, are hand-engraved or cloud-cut, and the screws are polished and blued. This beauty can be viewed through exhibition caseback. These movements are no longer produced today. However, the Alexander Shorokhoff watch manufactory has secured a limited quantity and produces this series in a small limited edition. Technical Specifications Limited edition: Only 49 pieces available worldwide Case size: 43.5mm Case material: Stainless steel Case back: Exhibition caseback with sapphire crystal Movement type: Manual Movement no.: AS 3105 Power reserve: Approx 42hrs Dial: Amber wavy guilloché dial with silver subdials; silver coloured hour and minutes hands; rose gold plated seconds hand Glass: Sapphire with anti-reflective coating Water resistance: 5ATM Strap type: Strap Strap material: Brown calfskin strap Buckle: Stainless steel tang buckle Warranty: 2 years

The Aviator Douglas Day Date 41 timepiece honours the greatest airplane of its time by blending the sophistication of luxurious travel with advanced technology and craftsmanship. Revolutionising travel, the Douglas DC-3 transported passengers with First Class style and became instrumental in the Golden Age of aviation. Legendary only begins to describe the Douglas DC-3. In the 1930s, it luxuriously owned the open sky and gained popularity among the elite, offering the finest amenities and service money could buy. A trip onboard was a highly anticipated affair and every flight had an air of elegant exclusivity that is lost in today’s fast-paced routines. In all its ways, the Douglas DC-3 gave the world a finer perspective on travel, and so, defined the Golden Age of Aviation. This same spirit of vintage sophistication sparked inspiration for the Aviator Douglas Day-Date 41 timepiece, and was Aviator's muse for reviving the next Golden Era in watchmaking history. The Aviator Douglas Day Date 41 dial features a subtle 3D pattern with volumetric markings and an elegantly curved window indicating the day. Since visibility and readability are key attributes, the Aviator Douglas Day Date 41 collection unites Art Deco design and function – from bold perfectly polished Roman numerals to the two elevated instrumental rings with luminous indexes that are inspired from the cockpit. With its deep and fine grooves, the pattern of the dial recreates stunning colour reflections reminiscent to metal silk effect and symbolise a timeless sophistication. The case is comprised of three symmetrical parts: bezel, body case, back case. Hand-finished with fine watchmaking techniques, its rounded curves are inspired by the graceful sophistication of the Douglas aircraft’s fuselage. Its stunning, mirror-polished surfaces are streamlined by ergonomically sleek lines. And its curved lugs exemplify an elegance from yesteryears, while ensuring a proper fit perfect on any wrist. Since every Aviator case is the result of highly precise engineering and ergonomics, you get well-designed case proportions and dimensions aligned with all the rest elements of the watch. At the heart of this timepiece is the Aviator AV-1000 calibre based on the Sellita SW 240-2, the most known, Swiss-made mechanical movement. Not to mention, the Incabloc system superbly protects the movement from shocks and bumps. Meanwhile, the oversized and beautifully crafted rotor replicates the pattern of the dial to maintain the art-deco style on both front and back of the watch. The calendar discs, highly elegant in design with the matching to the dial font and background colour, offer a sophisticated and convenient experience in following your agenda.
