Inspiration & Design
The X Series Gorilla draws from the physicality of the gorilla, expressing strength through structure rather than surface.
At each corner of the case sits an independent spring suspension system, inspired by high-performance automotive engineering. This not only improves shock resistance, but also reinforces the watch’s mechanical character visually.
The square case encloses four triangular structural elements - one of the most stable geometric configurations - giving the watch its distinctive, almost cyberpunk-like form.
Dial & Case Details
The X Series Gorilla features a double-sided skeleton construction, allowing the movement to be viewed from both the front and the caseback.
Rather than relying on a traditional dial, the time scale is integrated into the case structure itself - creating a display that feels embedded within the architecture rather than applied on top.
The titanium case provides durability while keeping weight controlled. In this blue edition, vivid accents contrast against the exposed mechanical framework, adding a sharper, more contemporary edge.
The signature double-X motif is coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring visibility in low-light conditions.
Movement & Mechanics
Powering the watch is CIGA Design’s in-house CD-01 automatic movement, developed specifically for the X Series.
Its skeletonised architecture exposes the movement’s internal components - from bridges to the oscillating balance - allowing the mechanics to become part of the visual experience.
